Here is something you need to know. Once a domain name expires (your Web site and E-mail services stops working), as a result of your negligence, our Registrar will hold the domain for a Grace Period that they have defined for the following types of domains that we sell:
- 40 days for .COM, .NET, .ORG, .INFO, .BIZ
- 30 days for .CA
During that Grace Period, you can renew your domain.
Note: Immediately after the Grace Period, the domain enters a "Redemption Period" where it will cost you more than the renewal cost to recover the domain. The Registrar may delete the domain, auction it to the highest bidder, or acquire it for their private domain portfolio. This usually happens 30 days after the Redemption Period. By then, it would have been more than two months since you ignored your final renewal notice and invoice!
